I order the next season on a feeling.
How deep to buy each product in the next window, from what similar products actually sold and made.
Sound familiar?
- After the sell-out we tripled the restock, and now we're sitting on that too.
- M and L were gone in three weeks and we're still sitting on the XS and XXL.
A worked example
Worked example · one style bought 360 deep · a twelve-week season
Both seasons end with the same record, 360 sold and none left. In the second the style was gone by week 4, and at that pace it would have sold three times as many.
It sold out in week 4 of 12, and three times assumes the pace held. It might have fallen away, or risen once the weather turned, and if the core sizes went first the early weeks were already held down, so the sales figure cannot say which.

Is this one worth it for you?
It's worth it when you buy in seasons and how deep to buy each product is a real decision.
If one of these sounds like your business, write to me.
A few lines is plenty. If you're not the one who decides, forwarding this to whoever does works just as well.
There's nothing to prepare, and nobody sends me any data before we decide to work together.
