Write to me

One person, from the first conversation to the monthly meeting.

The person who builds your numbers is the person who explains them. Nothing gets handed to a junior, and I take on one new client at a time.

How I work

  • One monthly fee for an outcome.
  • Written recommendations, not dashboards to admire.
  • One definition of every number, agreed once.
  • If the fee isn't justified, I say no.

Why one person

Clients start one at a time, so the next start depends on who I'm working with now. Ask and I'll tell you when it is.

Where the method was built

I run business intelligence at Miinto, a fashion marketplace in twelve countries. This is what runs there today, built with a small team, and what each piece replaced.

  1. One definition of every number

Two reports used to answer the same question with two different numbers. Now every metric has one written definition, and the analysts and the company's AI assistant both read from it.

  2. Profit on every order, from the day it's placed

Expected gross profit, with returns modelled per product and per market, is the figure every report reads. Before it, the reports read revenue or a blended margin.

  3. Advertising steered by profit

Each market's ad spend is steered against a profit target, and an assistant compares profit on ad spend with the target and recommends what to change.

  4. The month, before it closes

Order forecasts per market, with projected ranges for revenue, spend and gross profit, which is what the board plans on.

The profit model, the reconciliation to the accounts and the way ad spend is spread across orders carry over to a brand. Landed cost doesn't, because Miinto never owns the stock it sells, so for a brand that part is built new.

Write to me about your brand.

A few lines is plenty. If you're not the one who decides, forwarding this to whoever does works just as well.

There's nothing to prepare, and nobody sends me any data before we decide to work together.
